Bio

I’m a design leader, educator, and founder with expertise in UX, product design, team building, and design systems. Currently, I’m working as an independent consultant, helping businesses achieve their goals by elevating their user experiences. I’ve previously held leadership roles at global agencies like VML and worked on enterprise design teams at Illumina, Exact Sciences, and more.

Before my corporate design jobs, I co-founded and ran Powerplant, a San Francisco-based studio working at the intersection of brand and digital experience. During our four-ish years in operation, I oversaw end-to-end design and user experience for a variety of companies in technology and the arts.

As an educator, I've developed curriculum and taught college courses on interaction design, usability, rapid prototyping, and more. I love helping emerging designers develop the skills and confidence to reach their highest potential and work well in different team settings.

When I’m not designing, I’m exploring the waves and coastal trails of Southern California. I’m also re-learning how to maintain a creative practice, focusing mostly on synthesizer music.
